Confidentiality and its limits
Therapy is confidential, within limits agreed at the outset. Information may need to be shared where there is a serious risk of harm, a safeguarding concern, or a legal requirement to disclose. Wherever possible, this will be discussed with you first.
Children and young people
Work with children and young people requires careful attention to their wishes, capacity to consent, parental responsibility, best interests and the law. How information will be shared with parents, carers and referring professionals should be agreed before work begins.
